Easy Fall Melt & Pour Soap

Fall is hands down my favorite season and I love when it comes time to break out all of my fall scents and start creating. Today I am going to share an easy fall inspired melt and pour soap. This soap is soothing to the skin as it is made with an oatmeal base and has a sweet scent with a touch of spice. I have added some leaf embeds into the soap to up the Fall vibes even more.

For this recipe you will need:

10 oz of melt and pour oatmeal soap base

4 oz of crystal clear soap base

1 oz of white soap base (for the embeds)

15 drops Ginger essential oil

15 drops Tangerine essential oil

Mica or liquid soap colorant(for the embeds)

Rectangular silicone soap mold

Leaf silicone soap mold

Microwave safe container

1. First, you will need to make your leaf embeds. I like to do this the day before. Divide your white soap base up according to what colors you will be using for your leaves. Melt the soap base down in the microwave and then color accordingly. I find the easiest way to fill the particular leaf mold I used is with a pipette. Allow to cool completely before removing from the mold.

2. Now on to making the main soap. Place your 10 oz of oatmeal melt & pour in your microwave safe container and heat up in 30 second intervals until completely melted.

3. Once melted add in your 15 drops each of tangerine and ginger essential oils and stir thoroughly.

4. Pour base into your rectangular soap mold filling cavities 3/4 of the way full.

5. Allow to cool and firm until you can touch the surface of the soap base without breaking through it before moving on to the next step.

6. Once your base has firmed as described above, spritz the top of the bars with rubbing alcohol. This will help the next layers adhere to together. Now place your leaf embeds on top of the oatmeal base.

7. Next melt your 4 oz of crystal clear melt & pour in 30 second intervals until completely melted. Allow to cool slightly.

8. Spritz the top of the leaves and oatmeal base with rubbing alcohol again and then slowly pour the crystal clear melt and pour into the mold. If you pour to quickly it will cause your leaves to move around so slow and steady is best:)

9. Give the top of the soaps one final spritz with rubbing alcohol to pop any air bubbles that may have formed and then allow to cool completely before removing the soaps from the molds.
